In this study, the animal is required to wear a vest equipped with recording electrodes, and the test compound is administered orally or via intravenous injection to the animal. Through this non-invasive telemetry system, the animal ECG data could be monitored in real-time. In addition, blood test could be performed at different time intervals to examine the relationship between concentrations of test drugs in blood and the ECG parameters.
